STORYLINE
Nadi (30) vive com a mãe, Dona Elsa, em uma fazenda interiorana isolada. A paz das duas é perturbada quando o silencioso e estranho adolescente Joé começa a habitar a fazenda, tornando real a ameaça da lenda local do Corpo D'Água. Nadi precisará, então, tentar superar o passado por meio de um sacrifício.
Nadi (30) lives with her mother, Dona Elsa, on an isolated rural farm. Their quiet life is disrupted when the silent and unsettling teenager Joé begins living on the property, making the local legend of the Body of Water seem all too real. Nadi must then
confront her past, and the possibility of overcoming it through a sacrifice.

"Body of Water" is a folk horror/drama short film about the symbolic acts every woman who becomes a mother must endure. It’s also about the unimaginable pain of grief.
The script was a finalist at the Kinolime Shorts Competition 2025 and is now in pre-production.
